Losing Robinson for the remainder of the season is not what any Hawkeye fan wanted to hear. We don't want any of our guys hurt. The good news is we will have him back next year and he will contribute to an equally successful season. I do not believe that our depth at one position or our lack of it will keep the Hawks from the Big Ten title, nor do I believe that we will be kept from the running for the "mythical" national title. I base this argument on the fact that were this another team, the loss would be devastating, but remember these Hawks and their coaches have "game". I believe that for once we have a team that is truly resilient and they honestly believe, as they should, that they will bring together whatever combination they need to accomplish the mission and win. And they will continue to get it done. I've said it all season. It goes beyond luck, past athleticism, its more important than depth or stars; it is the mentality these Hawks bring to the field. It is the quiet confidence and the humility. It is different from Hawk teams past, and if only in that regard. The Hawks of 2009 are special because they spell "TEAM" in every way that the word can be understood. In this regard they are a team for the ages and we need to remember that.
